Veerankutty is a distinguished Malayalam poet and former Associate Professor in the Department of Malayalam at Government College Madappally. Born in Narayamkulam, near Perambra in Kozhikode district, Kerala, he also held the position of Head of the Malayalam Department at MEASS College, Areacode.
